Bishop Nicholas's visit to the Pewsey Deanery
The Bishop of Salisbury, the Rt Revd Nicholas Holtham, visited the Pewsey Deanery on Tuesday 27 March.
There were a number of events designed to give Bishop Nicholas a flavour of our Deanery. These included a visit to Pewsey Vale School (where the pupils filmed an interview with the Bishop); a working lunch with Churchwardens, Chapter members, LPAs and LLMs at which there was a lively and good discussion on a range of the issues our Parishes face; a visit to the Harlequins Centre for Valued Lives; and afternoon tea with a group of local farmers. The visit concluded with an informal gathering at the Village Hall, Great Bedwyn where church members had the opportunity to chat with the Bishop over wine and nibbles.
